How are microblading and micropigmentation different?
Microblading:
Semi permanent procedure lasting between 6 months – 1 year.
Hair-like strokes are drawn on then traced over, inserting pigment with a
handheld tool that looks like a X-Acto knife.Can be painful.
Procedure takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
Downtime – minimal
Healing process takes between 15-30 days.
Touch-up appointments are recommended after 45 days and can take approximately 45 minutes.

What is Microblading?
Also known as micro stroking or micro feathering Eyebrows which is an advanced technique to create fuller, natural eyebrows.
A semi-permanent technique creates hairlike strokes to fill in sparse areas or fully camouflaged missing Eyebrows with a cosmetic tattoo.
Special pens and needles are used to deposit the pigment manually under the bottom layer of the Epidermis.
Microblading is a technique using a super-fine pen (technically, a bundle of 12 to 15 needles) to deposit pigment into the skin.
The tip is so fine, in fact, that it can create hair strokes that look legit. The needles reach only into the superficial layers of the skin, which is what makes the method semi-permanent (versus permanent, like traditional cosmetic tattoos).
How long does Microblading last?
You'll need a touch-up in about a month (the cost of this is typically budgeted into the fee of the initial service).
Then, microblading can last anywhere from 12 months to three years, depending on your lifestyle.
A few ways to extend it: Stay out of the sun, since it can fade the pigment, and avoid putting exfoliants (like retinol and glycolic acid) near your brows because they'll lift the top layers of your skin with continued use—and the color with it.
What is Micropigmentation?
Permanent Eyebrow tattooing or semi-permanent makeup method. This method is done with a digital machine.
The color is implanted deep into the skin-known as the dermal layer. It lasts longer than Microblading/Eyebrow Embroidery method.
How long does Micropigmenation last?
Gradual fading can be expected for all micro-pigmentation procedures. This varies among people and is dependent on the specific shade used.
Most colors last three to five years, although some may not fade for as long as eight years.
Periodic touchups are recommended to maintain the desired look. You can also choose to change the colors of your permanent makeup. For instance, nude lip color can be modified from a peachy pink or brown Eyeliner to a black or navy hue.
How long does the procedure take to complete?
The average time required for a procedure is between one to two hours.
How long should I wait before I can have permanent makeup applied after Botox, injectables, chemical peels or laser treatments?
Generally speaking, we recommend to wait at least two week before we apply any permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, or lip liner/color. It may be necessary to wait a few more weeks after laser resurfacing or chemical peel.
Can I have Botox after my eyebrows are permanently feathered and enhanced?
We recommend to wait a few days to let the eyebrows heal completely before Botox is injected. A brow lift should not significantly alter the shape of a permanent eyebrow.
